Sylvia Sue's Story
I actually have very little memory of high school and wouldn't be surprised if it had little memory of me. I left for the West Coast as a teen and never looked back. I had two close friends at Courter. Linda Doll. Don't know what happened to her but assume she still lives locally and Maxine Fetters (McQueary Bredenfoerder) who passed away of heart disease. We were close till the end. I lived in Mt. Auburn at the top of Sycamore hill. I worked long hours at the Times Theater during high school and did most of my socializing outside of school circles. d to Los Angeles where I lived for 25 years. I've lived all over the country and for a while in Europe. I think of myself as a Citizen of the World and secular humanist. I worked at USC and other colleges and my career involved writing in some capacity, contracts, proposals, grants., that kind of thing. I had 2 marriages and divorces before miraculously reconnecting with my first and only true love, Jerry Smith. he was from OTR, the Findlay Market area. He also went to Central, i think just in his sophomore year and had to quit school to work. . I returned to Cincinnati in 1995 to marry him and spend time with my mother in her last years. We're still happily married going on 16 years. I have one son that lives in LA and works in film and 3 stepdaughters here, and 5 grandchildren.. My life has kind of come full circle. I will have many fascinating rocking chair memories to amuse me and my grandchildren in my fast approaching senior years.
